Hello

This blog is just between you and me, but it's not my only blog. I discovered blogs a couple of years ago and found some really interesting people living interesting lives, and in those lives I found aspects of myself. So I started the other blog as a way of connecting with those other bloggers and commenting on those interesting things. The feelings I wanted to share on that blog were not feelings that I necessarily wanted people who know me to read about. I wanted to be able to share my confusing and confused self freely, and maybe in the process find out who I really am.

But a family member found out about my blog, and I suddenly felt inhibited. I don't post there very often anymore.

There are so many things out there in this world that I find intersting. So many things that speak to parts of me, sometimes huge parts, sometimes little parts hiding in the shadows. I want to find a way to tease those little parts out so that I can learn more about myself.

So, what kinds of things might I talk about here. My interests are varied, and seem to go in phases, and the don't always seem to go well together. So, let's make a short list:
  1. England
  2. Simple living
  3. French style and French chic
  4. 1940s
  5. Mennonites and Amish
  6. Chickens
  7. Homemaking
  8. Being a good wife
  9. Old fashioned values
  10. Victorianna

How's that for a varied list!!! See what I mean about these aspects of me not making much sense. They are very difficult to reconcile with each other.

So where do I start. Well, my current interest is in the 1940s. Maybe I'll start with that ...

  1. Hello Mrs.G,
I can empathize with your need to want to blog anonomously.I am doing that too.I lead a rather full schedule and am in the public eye where people want to know everything and what they don't know, they make it up.I felt I just wanted to discover things without the pressure of anyone knowing who I am.So far it's working!I laughed when I read you are still watching Corrie even though you are now in Canada!
    Have a great day!
